Pepsi White (Japan)
The devilish masterminds that slink away in Pepsi’s lairs have come up with some interesting beverages, such as the completely unnecessary Crystal Pepsi from the 1990’s. Though the crystal clear beverage may have served no real purpose, it made a bit more sense than the company’s four year go at “Pepsi White.” It wasn’t just a color change that made Pepsi White stand out so much, it was the attempt at combining the crisp taste of Pepsi with the creamy, sweet taste of yogurt. If that combination of flavors isn’t enough to turn you off, likely the off-white color of the beverage would. Soda has been paired with a lot of fruit flavors, but something as tangy, sweet, and slightly sour as yogurt just doesn’t make for a delicious sounding carbonated drink. Ironically, despite the claim to yogurt flavor, there is actually no yogurt in the ingredients listing, nor any component that would make the drink actually taste like yogurt.
